Takedown policy
If something distributed through MOOZLO is yours and should not be there, this is how to tell us, and what we will do about it.
How to report a release
Write to support@moozlo.com with the subject line Takedown, and include:
- the release or track, with a store link or its UPC or ISRC if you have one;
- what right you hold in it — the recording, the composition, the artwork, a name or trade mark;
- enough to show the right is yours: a registration, a contract, an earlier release, or a link to your own official version;
- your name and a reply address we can reach you at.
What we do
- We confirm we have your report, by email.
- Where the claim is clear, we ask the stores to remove the release, and we stop any withdrawal of money earned by it while we look into it.
- We tell the artist who uploaded it what was claimed and by whom, and give them a chance to answer.
- If they show the release is theirs after all, it stays up and we tell you why.
Removal from the stores is not instant: each store acts on its own schedule, usually within a few days. We can show you when we sent the request and what each store said.
If your own release was taken down
Reply to the email we sent you with whatever shows the release is yours — the agreement, the session files, the clearance for a sample, your own earlier release. If you are right, it goes back up and the money that was held is credited to your balance.
Repeating it
An account that repeatedly distributes material it has no right to is closed, and its unpaid balance is held against the claims made on it.
Claiming falsely
A takedown costs someone their release and their income. Reporting work as yours when it is not is a serious thing, and we keep every report on file.
